Valentine's Day

We had a fun Valentine's Day!! We read Valentine stories, played games, and did a few dances. We enjoyed our friendship lunch with Mrs. Ivanochko's grade ones, and thought the Sask. Express show was fantastic!

SMART Response System

Mrs. Morely joined us today to show us how to use this new system.
Some of us got to answer questions on the computer using a remote. We thought it was a fun way to do a test. We hope to keep using this new technology in our classroom.

Valentine's Art

We worked with our grade 8 buddies to create Valentine folders, to hold our Valentine's in on Friday.

100th Day of School

Today we celebrated 100 days of school. We read 100 Day stories, we made necklaces out of 100 fruitloops, we did a 100 piece puzzle, we stamped 100 stamps in groups of ten, and we made rose colored 100 day glasses. We also had a treasure hunt where we had to find 100 chocolate kisses. But our favorite thing was the bag of 100 munchies that we had to eat as we did all of the activites!

Groundhog Day

We have been learning about groundhogs. We know they can be called whistle pigs, or woodchucks, we know they can run as fast as a grade 4 student, we know they can move 700 pounds of dirt in one day, and we know they make tasty stew!
